- Only the renter named in the agreement is allowed to drive the vehicle. If an unauthorized person drives the vehicle, Mi Toko Car Rental may take back the vehicle and charge a fine equal to five days of rental.
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will result in the vehicle being taken back. The security deposit and rental payment will not be refunded.
- The amount of the security deposit depends on the coverage selected by the renter.
- If the renter causes an accident and has not purchased the claim coverage of $200, the renter is responsible for the full cost of damage to the rental vehicle and for the rental days lost while the vehicle is being repaired. Damage to a third party is covered.
- If the renter has paid for Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) and causes an accident, the renter does not pay for the accident damage. LDW applies only to accidents; it does not cover scratches caused by trees or similar damage. LDW is invalid when the driver is under the influence or was driving above 60 km/h.
- After inspecting the vehicle and signing the agreement, the renter is responsible for all new scratches and dents.
- If the engine overheats and Mi Toko Car Rental is not notified promptly, any resulting damage is the renter’s responsibility.
- If damage costs more than the security deposit, the renter must pay the remaining balance.
- Damage must be reported immediately. In the event of an accident, call 911 and remain at the scene. Failure to do so terminates the agreement and makes the renter responsible for the resulting costs.
- The vehicle must be returned clean, with a full tank of gasoline and in good condition. A cleaning charge of $40 applies when a vehicle is returned dirty.
- Sand or sea-salt stains will result in a $60 charge deducted from the security deposit.
- The alarm must be used at all times. Theft that occurs when the vehicle is not properly secured is the renter’s responsibility.
- The renter is responsible for all parking tickets and traffic fines incurred during the rental period.
- Mi Toko Car Rental reserves the right to inspect the vehicle at any time and place during the rental period.
- No repairs may be performed without prior approval from Mi Toko Car Rental.
- Do not park in dark or isolated areas. Park in a garage or a well-lit area whenever possible.
- At your final destination, park the vehicle inside the gate when possible and make sure the alarm is activated.
- The renter is responsible for personal belongings stolen from inside or outside the vehicle.
- Charges for damaged or missing items are: gasoline cover $80, jack $170, radio $1,000, tire $200, rim $500, battery $250, key $350, door $500, and headlight or rear light $300.
- Any rental extension must be approved. Request an extension at least seven days before the scheduled return and pay for it on the same day it is approved.
- Smoking is not permitted in the vehicle.
- Smoke residue, ashes, sand or excessive dirt will result in a $60 charge deducted from the security deposit.
- A valid driver’s license is required.

- If the renter cancels after signing the rental agreement, a fee equal to three rental days applies.
By signing the rental agreement, you acknowledge and accept these terms.
